Graphically Homefront (which uses the Unreal Engine 3) is very nice to see, and has a very good atmosphere but still is not comparable to the best FPS of this generation.
Entertainment: 9
Homefront is very fun to play, the gameplay is pretty classic and very enjoyable. The feeleng is approximately that of Call of Duty and it is useless to tell you that it is fantastic.
Single Player: 6
The Homefront main plot is at first very intriguing and fascinating (though later lost a bit of bite) and tells us of a near future (2027) in which the United States of America,in serious economic and social crisis are attacked by Korea, which has become a military superpower. Despite the single player is very various of situations and very fun has a big flaw, it lasts scarcely five hours. A pity because with a backgroud so fascinating they could do much more.
Multiplayer: 9
The multiplayer is really interesting and very entertaining. The 6 maps are large and lend themselves to interesting skirmishes which have relatively slow and reasoned pace, a bit like Battlefield. An honorable mention should be made to the excellent implementation of vehicles in the gameplay. Let's just hope they arrive soon new maps and options.
For how long?: 8
The single player is really short but the multiplayer save the day although it is not very complete, (only 6 maps and 2 game modes) will keep you busy for a long time.
In Homefront there is no much of innovative things.
Overall: 7.5
Homefront is certainly a good FPS but as it stands seems incomplete ,there should be more contents.
