Operation Flashpoint Red River review in numbers

FPS - Ps3, Xbox 360, PC

Graphics: 8
Red River is shown graphically quite beautiful and engaging, thanks to a very realistic graphic style even though I found some minor graphical glitches such as excessive polygonal compenetration and old-fashioned animations but due to the size of the map I would say, I'm more than satisfied.

Entertainment: 8
The gameplay of Red River is much more realistic than other FPS, so it has a slower and much more reasoned pace compared to other games. All in Red River is more realistic, for example, is very easy to die while kill the enemies is a bit less easy. A praise goes to the ballistic of the weapons, really well done. "Unfortunately", in a game like Red River, the most important component is the AI and I must say that in this game it really disappointed me, both that of ours companions and that of the enemies.

Single Player: 7
The single player of Red River is quite varied and intense but lacking in mordant and in storyline. Too bad because view the interesting location (Tajikistan) and its enormity they could do something of more deep and more durable.

Multiplayer: 9
The multiplayer greatly enhances the enjoyment of Red River, in fact, cooperating with human players (4), rather than allies led by an uncertain AI, is much more engaging and fun. To signal the complete lack of competitive multiplayer.

For how long?: 9
The single player lasts about 12 hours but after that it will wait a rich and extensive online coop that will keep you busy for a long time.

Innovation: 7
Red River does not offer much of new but at least differs from the crowd thanks to a lot of realism that will appeal the fans of the genre.

Overall: 8
A nice simulation FPS that deserves a good storyline but also a more accurate and realistic AI.
