Tactics Ogre Let Us Cling Together review in numbers

The graphics are well cared and do its duty, but really starts to feel the weight of years.

Being a TRPG, Tactics Ogre is at first very slow but once absorbed the gameplay (it is very complex) will give you much satisfaction. The classes are very numerous (roughly 50) and are all quite useful. The turn-based combat is very tactical and challenging (also thanks to an excellent AI of the CPU) and will require careful planning to achieve victory. Interesting is the new feature (The Chariot) that will allow you to rewind the fight of 40 turns to allow novice players to remedy for fatal errors such as losing a key member of the team.

Sound: 9
While the sound effects are only discrete, the orchestral musics are very stunning and evocative. I have found them even better than those of Final Fantasy Tactics.


Plot: 10
The story of Tactics Ogre Let Us Cling Together as well as having an Oscar screenplay with numerous plot twists, dramatic moments and epic moments also has the rare quality of having many crossroads  that lead to different events and of course to different endings. One of the best works of Square-Enix!


For how long?: 10
To to finish Tactics Ogre, it takes dozens of hours but if you want to see the all the endings the hours become hundreds. Trust me, if you're a fan of the genre you will be hooked to your PSP for long time.


Innovation: 5
Being a remake there is no much innovation if not the ability to rewind turns to repeat your moves but anyway nobody of us expected any news on this right?

A remake that does justice to one of the most beautiful TRPG of history!
