Knights Contract review in numbers
Hack'n'Slash-Xbox 360,Ps3
Graphics: 6
Graphically Knights Contract is below modern standards,a pity because the environments are evocative and very varied and even the design of the enemies is quite inspired.
Entertainment: 4
Fighting hordes of enemies with a huge scythe, and with the help of a witch might appear to be funny but the poor AI of our partner (if she die is game over) and a badly calibrated level of difficulty makes the whole experience frustrating.
Plot: 9
Knights Contract takes place in a medieval Germany where monsters and witches are the norm, and without going into too many details, I will tell you that the protagonist (an Executioner) is immortal and will have the task of protecting a witch from the many creatures of the game. The story turns out to be really well-told and original, especially the reason why the two characters are related together, and it is worth living.
For how long?: 7
The game takes 15 hours to finish which increase if you want to play again to unlock some bonus features such as alternate costumes and photo galleries. The real problemis that not everyone will have the patience to finish it because of obvious failures in the game structure.
Innovation: 7
The plot is quite original and it is also the need to protect a "mortal" using an "immortal" but apart from that everything else seems to have already seen in other games. Does notmeans-which's a bad thing.
Heinrich and Gretchen: 8
The two protagonists are not the greatest in aesthetic terms but are still very fascinating and intriguing. Let's say curious.
Overall: 6.8
If you able to resist the several flaws you will live a wonderful adventure. Not suitable for everyone.
